  • @hizainshah

    Choosing between the products with high profit margins Vs profit margins is not simple as it sounds. Higher profit margins items are going to be generally high in retail price which means you will have to do tons of product research, also higher upfront cost, higher lost on returns and disputes. On average customers tend to buy more items which have retail value of under £30 UK or $50 in US. Being on eBay or Amazon or on Shopify it’s NOT simple to sell high ticket items without having some kind of awareness about your brand among consumers. No I am not Nike and to be at that level either it takes tons of time or marketing budget Like £££££. Most of items even if they will make small profit margins are generally good to get started, Let’s say you get only 30 orders a day and make only £2 profit from each, you’re making £60 a day and trust me in total it wouldn’t take more than two hours to manage each and everything like packing, posting and customer services. You can’t say you will only add products which will make minimum x amount of profit, at the end you will have to mix the things up. We always add loss ladders which might make small profit but customer might bundle with something else, Like i have less margin in charging cable but higher in faster charging plug, customer often bundle them together. I will never skip on the product even if it makes small profit, think like this will be money which you didn’t had yesterday and what you will doing otherwise.

    Try to find ways to speed up your processes. Doing the same thing over and over you find loads of tricks to do it faster. The first might take minutes to do, but by your 20th, you'll be doing it in seconds. I started doing photos and listing each item one at a time. I've since moved to doing batches of tasks at a time all at once and I'm much faster now. If you have a big batch of identical items, pack them all at once as single items, have them all put together and ready to stick a post label on. if you think you might mix them up, write a SKU in the middle with a marker that the post label will cover up. The time you save doing it this way cuts out all the moving about and finding the scissors or tape each time, it adds up.

    Sometimes, you can’t order from website because they might include their invoices and packing so you have to pick it up. Item might run out of stock all that. You can list the item from website using pics, Once you get the order you can go and pick the item and buy few extra so you don’t have to go again. (You can always return it if don’t sell). You can do your own packing and ship the item yourself to not have invoice and packing issue. ______ You can’t have everything perfect and yes to some degree there are solutions for all these cons in all business models which will require you either spend extra time or money. For example if you don’t have money to invest to buy in bulk, just pick what sells from local market physically and pack and ship yourself and be okay with it as you trading time or else buy in bulk from china so you don’t have to go every-time and be worried about stock. You can’t have both. My point is always do what you can to get started and just find your own way, If you just get stuck in never ending discussion of what’s allowed or not, and listen to those people they will find issue in angels too. Think about this will be money which you did’t had yesterday and what you will be doing otherwise. There are people making well over £3k a month by doing this. Just check the check items from argos clearance section you will find 99% of them are being sold on eBay at higher price and customers buy those.

    What your missing is a time scale all the adverts your using may have sold x amounts but they don’t state how long it took so yes you can make that money but if it takes you a year to make it back it’s going to cost you more in storage and stock sitting on a shelf. That’s not to forget that the items may now be on a slow down so they’ve already peaked and then you could be left with stock you can’t sell

    @@hizainshah this is true but what your advising isn’t smart, you need to get the products before they peak sadly Poundland only sells lots that have peaked as that’s how they get them so cheap. What your doing is just simple sales buy cheap sell for a profit your just trying to make it look more complicated and smart so you can then sell a course of simply sales techniques 😂. All these eBay selling courses are pretty much the same and no doubt you got dubbed into buying one hence why now your selling them 😂👍

    Every business model is going to have Pros and Cons like every. **DropShipping**: You have low upfront cost, easy to start and definitely you can make full-time income out of it like £4k £5k a month and i see people doing it, if this is what you’re happy with, by all means go for it. **Cons**: You will have stock issues with Supplier might run out stock, Some supplier might include invoices or branded packing there is high competition. You have non stop discussion about what allowed and what’s not, it’s never ending. **Retail arbitrage:** Same thing to be honest even now days you can make decent money i have know people making like £4k £5k a month for real. **Cons**: Sometimes, you can’t order from website because they might include thier invoices and packing so you have to pick it up. Item might run out of stock all that. **WholeSale**: You buy the things from china in bulk, you know the stock levels and quality and also you have higher profit margins, it can be scaled you can outsource fulfilment etc. **Cons:** You Need to have higher investment, be willing to take the risk that products might sell and you end up filling room with useless products which no-one wants to buy. **At the end What is conclusion ?** You can’t have everything perfect and yes to some degree there are solutions for all these cons in all 3 business models which will require you either spend extra time or money. For example if you don’t have money to invest to buy in bulk, just pick what sells from local market physically and pack and ship yourself and be okay with it as you trading time or else buy in bulk from china so you don’t have to go every-time and be worried about stock. I dont think this would work anymore. Items in eBay have now increased from 1 pound to 2 pound. Which basically eats away into your profit. Also the items that are listed/seen in Poundland now would not always be available . So it's risky to list and item and if the order goes through you might not find it in the store. Also the shipping has increased which further eats into your profit the only way would be if you would purchase and stock the items . These are a few questions I have. How would you go about doing this with Poundland items if you were doing this in 2023? if one were to say not stock items

  • @hizainshah

    @hizainshah

    Жыл бұрын

    These are risks you have to take while starting on budget, you don't have much choice, there are many items you can sell from retail stores like from sales section etc. Like from Argos, Asda, Tesco Etc. You do need look for those deals. Overall if you need to go easy way where you invest money and buy in bulk, you do need to know what you invest into. Everything comes with price and pros and cons but it can be done and can be very profitable.

If I see anything over 100 sold that will more or less guarantee monthly sales & I won’t click in… unless I’m investing a lot to purchase the stock & need robust sales to support the large expenditure.
