I told told by an expert about finding birds like bald eagles exhausted like the ones we saw. He said that they get like that bc they are starving bc they can't eat bc they have too much lead in their stomaches. Apparently, they end up with the lead from previous meals along the way of smaller birds that have buckshot or something like that, on or in them from being shot at.

An important thing to keep in mind is that healthy animals rarely approach humans. The reason it’s happening with increasing frequency is that humans have moved ever closer to the animals’ habitats and continue to do so. Animals need space, there need to be more protected lands.
