1 Day vs 10 Years of Piano

Музыка

If you don't have this progress it doesn't mean you won't be a good musician. Everyone has their own times, do not let anyone tell you that you are not good, if someone does it, forget it, study and love music.
With sacrifice and patience you too in 10, 20 or 30 years, it doesn't matter, you will have your satisfactions.

I took piano lessons for 14 years now and I can proudly say that I graduated in piano. It took a while but it was definitely worth the efforts. I now play every song beautifully that I want to learn. Give me a song to play and I'll learn it in a few hours. Maybe weeks if it's very difficult or maybe minutes if it's easy. I've also done many concerts and have performed in marriages and bars. At first it was very stressfull but now I'm used to it and don't feel stressed anymore at all. A lot of my friends told me that I should do it full time because it actually pays very well but I want to chase my dreams into becoming an electrical engineer... yes I'm asian if you guessed it. Yes I also play chess...

I've been playing for a little over 2 years now, and yesterday I was at a hotel for a party and in the lobby there was a piano, my friends kept pushing me to play it so I eventually did. I doubted my playing thinking it wasn't good enough for people to hear but once I started playing I couldn't stop, and when I was finished 2 total strangers came up to me and gave me money, that was one of the greatest moments ever for me as a pianist, to have complete strangers recognize your talent is a feeling I can hardly describe. So I will continue to play and develop my skills so I can do better every new time my hands touch the keys.

Your progress depends on when you start playing and how consistently you practice. Starting as an adult or teen will most likely make your results closer to those in the video, but if you're really young, it won't move as quickly. I started playing piano when I was about 3 and I didn't get to stuff like Turkish March and Fantasie Impromptu until I was 10/11, which was about 7 years or so after starting and consistently practicing every day (I got more serious when I was 9ish and practiced 1-2 hour(s) a day. It also definitely depends on your teacher and their style! My teacher was a professor, so her standards for even simple pieces were pretty high) I would also like to point out that most pieces you play early on (again, what counts as early on will depend on the teacher) are arranged so, everyone will move at their own pace, and it largely depends on how far you go with practice and such, so good luck to everyone starting and stick with it!

See I would say it's the opposite, I think as kids you're learning and developing at a high rate. Way easier thanks starting when you're already a teenager. Plus when you're no longer a kid, life gets in the way and unless you're a professional piano player you'll never have the time to be this efficient....that's just my 2 cents.

@@ronniekregar3482 I definitely agree with that as well! It also depends on the amount of practice and the quality of that practice a kid or adult puts in.

I have played piano casually for 8 years and I can barely play to the level of his 5 years, trust me guys, I was self taught, and never learnt to read music, however, rather than being a thing to brag about, it is something to regret. If I could go back to the start, I would have learnt properly, and where I am now would have been accomplished in 3 years, and I would be able to read music, and do proper fingerwork rather than the sloppy mess I am on piano now.
