I've never completed a model anything. I messed around a bit as a kid but never did one from start to finish. I'm 42 now. This video inspired me to try again. Who knows, maybe It's a new hobby I'll enjoy.

@@AlexModeling The B-2 is more expensive. $2 billion per plane. There's no other military plane that comes close to the cost of the B-2. Even the deluxe model A380 is less than $450million (but head of state A380s could easily cost at least 33% more than the high-end model A380). The only plane more expensive than the B-2 is the new Air Force One. That's rumored to be over $2.6billion (double that because TWO planes are actually being bought) largely because of special electronic equipment. It has to have special safety features (gotta be able to survive World War III!) AND double as a command/control vehicle so it will be more than just a "modified 747." Air Force One technically ISN'T military since it's a head of state plane but still--! Yes, the F-35 program OVERALL could be the most expensive plane program in recent history but there will probably be at least 3,000 of these planes manufactured. And there are other fighters out there more expensive per plane than the F-35 is NOW. The Rafale, EuroFighter Typhoon, Su-57 are comparably expensive PER PLANE (averaging closer to $110million-$120million a plane) but their technology is generally 4.5 generation. The costs for those planes will probably never significantly diminish because there just aren't many of them being built. When a fighter program has fewer than 900 planes built, it's generally considered small-run and they'll be lucky to break-even in costs IF the production run doesn't exceed at least 600 units. The F-35 is at least a generation ahead in technology for (at most) the same cost per plane as the 4.5 generation fighters. There are going to be many more F-35s built and the unit cost per plane will go down ($90million looks believable; below that probably won't happen realistically) as production ramps up. It will never be as cheap as the F-16 was in the 1980s but nothing will be that "relatively inexpensive" because of inflation and the cost of the electronics being put into the plane which are still the most expensive items of the plane by far. They were also building at least 120 F-16s per year for much of the 1980s and there's no plane project RIGHT NOW that has such a high level of production partly because A) they're all much more expensive than the 1980s brand F-16 to build and B) the level of sophistication of today's plane and their electronics is much higher, too. A LOT of air forces are shrinking to as little as 1/4 the size they were in the 1980s! Don't believe all the negative hype. I'm not a huge fan of the F-35 program but the media loves to spin negative articles about these things because negativity sells.

I guess one nice thing about building this F-35 must've been the side stick n throttle...so no fiddly centre stick piece to worry about. I loath building cockpits especially the instrument panel, having big hands does not help what so ever
