Awesome build! A lot of model railroaders use artists chalks/pastels to weather their models. Simply scrape the chalk or pastel of your desired color with the edge of a blade to create a pigment "dust" and transfer to the model with a soft brush. It's easy to control the amount of weathering with this technique. It's easy to create a faux rusted look doing this... Once you're happy with the result, just spray a couple of light coats of matte clear coat to seal in the effect. There are quite a few tutorials on youtube detailing this method. Thanks for the videos! I really enjoy your channel!

That’s so cool, I would like to see the sleeper cover the cab of the truck and the camper be wider. Then put the big mirrors on the truck so you can see around the wider camper. You could probably use thread for the winch, cotton thread is pretty strong and still small enough.

Yes I’m a bit late. But I have discovered that an almost essential part of customising is a 3D printer. Comes in so handy. I print engines, rear wings, super chargers and parts such as bonnets and other bits and bobs. I blame you for me getting into customising like I have. But I love it. I try fancy paint schemes out on old real estate signs good enough to practice on.

G'day from Australia - that camper turned out pretty good. As I have actually built a camper there are rules involved. One is the camper cannot extend over the windscreen of the cab - that means you can extend your sleeping compartment to make it longer. As this is learning situation on how to make a realistic camper. I would like you to have a rear exit door that opens the reason being - you need steps to be able to get in and out. What you are doing I find it ingenious I enjoy the intricacy of the whole project - the end result I believe will be amazing. As for the colours you chose re the exterior and curtains to be honest I thought it looked a bit naff. I'm still looking forward to seeing more - great Vlog. 👍

Great video. Have a try at using liquid brown shoe polish as a wash next time. Depending on how dirty you want the campervan to look. You can also water shoe polish down further prior to covering whole thing. Using a rag soaked hot water take off the access. What the shoe polish does is soak into the grooves giving it that dirty roadstyle feel. For pattern for curtain id have go at water decals 😁

When it comes to weathering, try with some simple brown or black washes. You can accomplish a lot with something as simple as that. Pigments and the like are a whole other beast.
