34 M here with a BE in IT , never worked in an IT company been doing marketing for last 10 yrs for a company that has no relation to IT (actually iron and steel industry to be specific). Man, I follow you since 2020, you are a great teacher. I usually don't comment on yt videos but as your channel help me on the starting point on my carrier, I couldn't resist myself from splitting my opinion here. In India you need degree along with your skills to get job in MNC's or any unicorn startups. It's the harsh reality. Whoever reading this please remember whenever you apply for a job with high package they have skilled hr there to negotiate with you with your salary. Whenever they came to know that you don't have any cs/IT degree, they will offer you less than your expectation. I faced this. So grab a paper degree asap, it gonna help you if you wanna survive in Indian IT industry.

@@ok-kq8xv good on you, I also pursuing degree along with my dev job. In initial days I used to think that, why should I waste 4-5 lakh on education (cause in India , tier 3 or event tier 2 colleges are full of corruption). I thought to put that money on some kind of mutual fund or even in FD but one day I got call from TCS, cleared 3 technical round, but when it comes to background verification part, they rejected me saying you don't have proper education. Man that hurts.

I can tell without watching this vid. There is no such thing ki tum software Engineer ban jao without even having a degree in CS. It is only possible if in campus placement you get a chance to sit in a software company plus you have build all the coding skills during your btech. Other than this (off campus) to get hired in A1 companies (CTC between 20 lpa and 6 lpa) you really need to be an outstanding coder. The only option you will have is (even after getting okayish coding skill, projects, good rankings on competitive programming platforms) to join a startup that's the only possible scenario where you can imagine yourself getting hired obviously at lowest possible CTC. Low CTC and a lot of time (say after ur btech family pressure, plus a lot of things) and then getting hired in a startup that too with low CTC. Is it really worth it? Yes if you have source who may give a referral for you in his A1 company. So I will say decide wisely and don't get too much motivation from these so called experts. They will tell you only what is best for there KZread income,likes, subs. Ex he made this vid just as a clickbait because most of the btech passout and other students want software engineer tag.

@@helloworld2054 bro i am afraid it does not I, am student of arts that too from open university and learn full stack developing along with DBS and i can vouch I got job with starting 6lpa. Believe me it is possible there are many out there ready to hire you provided you need to fulfill what they want from you as a coder maybe be specific and be pro in front end or back end or maybe ios Or Android developer, data science is too in demand and people are looking for them. Believe me degree does not matter you got skill thats it..
