I really love these long paint with me videos. They keep me entertained and make sure i dont get lost on my phone since i cant exit the app without the video turning off. I spent the duration of this video making a series of 32 object drawings for an art college assignment. I was initially overwhelmed and panicky cuz they're due tomorrow and thought I'd never get them done but your voice settled me down and gave me something different to think about so i actually managed to just get to it and chomped through 13 drawings

Oh I just love watching your videos. I feel instant warmth whenever a new video goes up, and you really help me to get inspired to get my sketchbook out and draw whilst listening to you. I also love how you combine your creative process with your thought process - I love hearing what you are creating, how you've been feeling, what you've been doing.. I find you so relatable, like I'm listening to a friend. Another amazing video Minnie 💜

So happy to see you back. That show with the alligators I think you said it was crawl omg it had me traumatised hahaha that girl and her dad could not catch a break! I don't think I got through it. This year definitely was a blur, still is a blur. I'm doing the best I can but I think in the end I'm beginning to accept what I can do and what I can't. Walking away from stuff I push myself to do and just really evaluating what is working and what is not. In the end I want to paint more and I think I'm gonna focus on that. Social media will always be there, I still have a chance to get. back on the wagon.............hopefully.

Love watching your videos while working on my projects. Been working on a commission for the past few days and love drawing along with you. Glad to hear you've been working on your book! It's so scary and exciting when tackling a large project like that but make sure to take deep breaths, take breaks when you need to and definitely take care of yourself. Really jealous you got to see Prince of Egypt in theatres! Didn't even know there was a theatre version of it. Recently I just got on TikTok and uploaded my first video. Most. Nerve-wracking. Thing. Ever! Been meaning to take time and learn how to make good videos and make a plan as to what videos I should even do. I know what you mean about feeling stuck in limbo. This year has been so quiet and weird but I can't put my finger on why that is. Maybe it's because the world is starting to open back up but it doesn't really feel the same despite everyone wanting to go back to 'normal'. Thank you so much for making these videos. Always a pleasure sitting with you. Can't wait for the next one!

I don’t usually comment on KZread videos but I thought I’d come on here to say I really really appreciate you doing these videos! I’ve been rewatching the old ones a lot these last few months and it’s really helped me sit down and draw/paint more often. Love listening to you talk about books and other media. I also recently watched this German sci-fi romcom movie that Dan Stevens is in called “I’m Your Man” and felt that it’d be kinda up your alley so I thought I’d mention that.

Watching this while I'm doing a painting for one of my Patrons so this is perfect timing! Best of luck with your book project, I'm sure it will be so worth the 10 hour days! I've just joined tik tok and started sharing my painting processes on there after refusing to get the app for years! It's easy to get sucked into scrolling for ages but I do love the content!

Love that you do these! Would love to be journaling but sadly writing clinical notes for work. I have a horrible time procrastinating and letting them pile up, so having an hour to push through them and not feel alone doing it feels SO freeing again. Thank you

I'm in a phase where I'm not reading anything right now, and I'm really not sure why. I have 5 books waiting on my shelf, judging me, so I guess I'll try again this weekend.

If you’re into rom-com books at all I highly recommend the Well Met series by Jen Deluca! It’s sooooo good! It’s about a woman that stays with her sister to help with her teenage daughter as she recovers from an accident and gets roped into volunteering in a Renaissance Faire. The second book is Well Played and the third is Well Matched. The third is the best one!!!

I would definitely recommend 'Maid' on Netflix! Its genuinely amazing, acting is superb. I don't like programmes that skip over building characters and this one really dives into the people and their lives. Every character has something very human, very flawed and its really good at telling their stories :)

Looking forward to this video keeping me company tomorrow whilst I do some model-making

Watching this while finishing my inktober drawing😆 and I just can’t wait for your book to come out!😆 also you should totally check out “sweet home” it’s a Korean show that is sooo good!

Always lovely to see you. I am also working on eyes, I am painting an assortment of creature eyes in watercolour, lizards, snakes, and so on. It always nice to see other artists process, and I have always admired your work, aspecially your mini paintings of houses, something I would like to do on my next project, but do them all lined together on one continuous sheet of paper. Currently participating in Inktober, but with my own twist. I've chosen a single subject to express all the prompts through - turtles. It's been quite challenging to translate some of those concepts, but has also proven in unexpected ways, how to inspire more creative expression. It's good to hear you're still creating in the background, even if we don't get to immediately see a lot of the results. That will come when your book is published. All the best!

Awesome to have you back, it was so lovely to join you on a chatty painting session again ❤ also, if you haven't already, I'd 1000% recommend watching Brand New Cherry Flavour on Netflix 🍒 it's witchy, it's surreal and weird, it's got horror, it's got a bit of everything really! In a nutshell, a young twenty something woman moves to LA in the 90s with the dream of becoming a director, but quickly falls into the explotive traps of Hollywood. I always remind myself of nonfiction vs fiction as not-fake (nonfiction) and fake (fiction). Not perfect but it helps me keep them straight! Thank you for the video!

So nice to have you back here :) Maybe the show “Only murders in the building” is something you would enjoy? It’s something different for sure, I liked the setting as a true crime podcast, the building in New York as a background, the story itself and the music very much. Interesting, funny and well made. Not thrilling, but enjoyable.

For rom coms I recommend Ode to Joy on Netflix. I didn’t have high expectations but it was a really good easy to watch movie. Also if you haven’t seen Modern Family, I highly recommend it! It is now my go to comfort watch, really funny too.

Ooh you said you haven't watched Coco! Maybe your group of friends can get through the animated Disney movies? You could choose just a subset (such as Pixar which would cover Coco) if all the movies would be too daunting. Thanks for continuing to put out these relaxing yet productive videos!

Recommendations of what to watch: "Midnight Mass" which was amazing. Its a horror tv show (only 7 episodes) by the same filmmaker who made Haunting of Hill House and Haunting of Bly Manor. Honestly, it made me cry more than it scared me. Another really good show is Maid. Also YOU Season 3 is out on Netflix.

Ooh, congratulations on the book! Just a tip-Fiction=Fake and Non Fiction= Not Fake. I’m a reading teacher & that helps a lot of my students.

Your book sounds great, I will definitely want to get it when you've completed it! Tip: fiction = fake and non-fiction = not fake aka real lol. That's how I learned it :)

I'm over a month late for this video (I've been busy, so not a lot of youtube lately), but I'm watching this while working on my art history thesis.

I'm currently working on updating my cv and applying for some art retail jobs and cultural jobs at galleries. This year hasn't gone at all how I thought, lost my job unexpectedly a few months ago. But on the plus side I'm strongly considering applying for art school to do some kind of post grad course, but I need to make a bunch of work to make an art portfolio so we'll see how that goes.
