1/4 Scale V8 Model Engine

This is the new KPL 632 fully functioning 1/4 scale model engine. It runs on regular pump gas, has spark ignition, wet sump pressurized oiling, & water cooling. It is the only gasoline model engine on the market that is based on an American V8 with single centerline cam and pushrod driven valve train that is also made in the USA. Check out KPLPerformance.com for more details.

    Sir, don't listen to any of the ridiculous negative coments, they mean nothing. You are obviously a very talented individual in design and execution. Your CNC machining talent is also next level. It always costs more to make things smaller in small quantities. That Conley motor was a fragile piece of junk next to what you designed and built. People like myself with money only want the best, if it was cheap it would be worthless. Keep building the best products you can and you will be successful. That's what i did. Always buy the best, you'll never be disappointed ! I am a future customer. Just a suggestion, you should use Evans waterless coolant. Conventional antifreeze will eat away at the aluminum. I always use Evans in my $50K plus hot rod motors, it is a far superior product, you should be using it also. Sincerely FH

    Well if you think about a full scale engine having a 4" cylinder bore my engines bore is 1", full scale blocks are about 24" long my engines block is roughly 6" long, full scale header primary tubes are 2" in dia, mine are 1/2" in dia., ect. Every part may not be exactly 1/4 scale but very close.

    What is the displacement, hp, torque, and cost of this particular setup? I'm curious as to the intended use of this engine as well. Are replacement parts available? Are all the multiple components interchangeable (pistons, rods, valves, springs, etc.)? Are there high performance upgrades available (higher compression pistons, bigger camshafts, bigger carbs, etc.)? Overall, a very cool setup. Good luck in the future with your endeavors. 👍🇺🇸

  • @rockets4kids

    1/4 scale means 1" bore and 1" stroke, or 6.32 cu in. At 1 HP/cu in that would be about 6 HP. The intended performance upgrade is a supercharger.

  • @KPLPerformance

    @KPLPerformance

    11 ай бұрын

    As for displacement @rockets4kids answered you perfectly, it is 6.32 cu in. or about 103cc. The supercharger will be available soon, but at this time I am not making any other upgraded parts. For your interchangeable question, yes all the parts are identical when they are made but once the valves have been lapped in there respective seat you wouldn't want to switch them around same for the pistons with the rings being run in ect. For use a 1/4 scale RC car or boat or just on the display/run stand to show people.
