So the blue guy did a few headbutts, illegal arm twist/grabs, a nut grab he was penalized by referee. Blue guy was playing dirty and red guy had enough...

This is definitely the ref's fault. He never took charge of this match. Horrible officiating at the highest level is nothing new.

Wow the reffing is absolute garbage you can just tell he doesn’t position himself to see were the hand of these players are going you hate to see it

Russian was playing dirty with those cheap headbutts. Bey did however lose composure, form, and lost his patients but it's almost justifiable with the Russians cheapshots.

At the end, the ref did nothing to blue's illegal front head. It's basically the same 10 finger choke Lindland user on Leuter in UFC. Ironically Lindland is in Bey's corner too. The dirty choke was what made Bey mad.

Folkstyle is king Freestyle 2nd Greco is just unwatchable Just saying...this is why Olympic viewer rating suck, n IOC wants to scrap the sport entirely. International format should change to folkstyle n freestyle. Folkstyle is most relatable to the general public. Push outs and leg laces are just stupid and don’t even convey physical dominance. NCAA is so much better to watch...

Tj Carr totally agree. I feel like the younger kids would enjoy it more to because they wrestle folkstyle. At such a young age I didn’t understand freestyle and I fell like most young wrestlers don’t either.

Lil Shorty I wrestled freestyle tourneys in spring n summer in HS. It was a fun way to keep going n not burn out. It was great for takedowns n takedown defense...crotch lifts, control ankles, scrambles. Plus, I didn’t care about my record, so I would try crazy stuff n bring it to regular season if I got good at it. Problem is, I think the US is the only folkstyle nation, so you have to convert the rest of the world. It’s amazing how well the US does in freestyle after concentrating on folkstyle thru college

Greco is really fun to watch. Just because americans are bad at it, does not mean it's boring. Folkstyle is really shit. You can get away with being in shitty position and not give up points, and how are leg laces and push outs not a portrayal of physical dominance? what, cheap tilts and escapes are? You've clearly never actually wrestled freestyle if you think leg laces, and gut wrenches do not require physical dominance. Freestyle and Greco are just overall more punishing for making mistakes and being out of position.

Saul Perez Never wrestled Greco, except for fun in practice to work on hand fighting, pummeling n throws. Done enough freestyle to know folkstyle is just better. In fact I think most guys on the US team, even world champions, would rather see folkstyle on the world stage. The parterre position rules don’t allow the bottom guy to defend, so to me, Freestyle n Greco are just a limited discipline of wrestling...like boxing vs Muay Thai or MMA. I can respect that you like it, but I see it as fragmented. Get taken down n instead of immediately trying to work out of it, you lay on your belly and try not to get rolled. As for the dominant aspect, I suppose I may be referring to how it translates to a fight. Imagine someone throws you down, and instead of trying to get up, you flatten out..? I understand the skill to turn or fend the turn, I just don’t think it’s very relatable to the public, particularly fight fans. Almost all of the dominant UFC wrestlers are American for a reason, it translates to fighting dominance. Khabib is one of a short list of anomalies, and he’s a Sambo fighter, not a freestyle wrestler.

COME ON BEY, I THOUGHT YOU WOULD HAVE MORE CLASS THAN THAT AND HOW COME YOU DON'T WANT TO WRESTLE COLLEGE? MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE TOO MUCH TOUGH COMPETITION FOR YOU?
