Be Advised: if ever you are in a match with J.B. and are up with short time, look out for the sock adjustment on the edge of the mat. it might seem innocuous at the time, but it's coming: a last second, match winning score. Every time

I call it the delayed stand up. But sock adjustment sounds better.

Proud of my dude, Franklin Gomez, a product out of Brandon High School in Florida .. he wrestled tough against the World's best in Jordan Burroughs who showed us again just how dangerous he can be up to the very end .. Hats off to both competitors

As I'm watching this match up to the 8:27 mark, I say to myself, "didn't you just watch Burroughs win gold by beating a wrestler from Canada in the finals???"

Look back to when Gomez was holding JB's leg, Ben Askren pointed this out in a podcast:He was pretending like he was working for a push out, but look at his eyes...he was trying to run down the clock before he tried to score. This was so impressive because he had the high single with 0:41 left, but he ran the clock down to ten seconds left. The only thing more impressive was JB shooting and scoring the double with less than seconds left😱😱😱😍😍😍. ICE in the veins💪🦵🥶❄

Crazy to think gomez competed at 133 as a senior in college . Dude has been packing it on over the years. Probably helps to focus more on the wrestling and less about the weight cut.

Am I crazy or Wasn't Franklin Gomez a 125lber in his first year at Michigan State and won nationals as a senior at 141? Now he is at 74kG? He was just wrestling Metcalf a couple years ago and now up 2 weight classes? Its not like hes young and growing, but I guess he just stopped cutting weight....Being ahead against JB with short time is a death sentence, almost better to be trailing or tied.

If Burroughs was on top of his game, there's no way this match should even be close. I hope it serves as a wake up call for him. He should either recommit himself to another Olympic Gold Medal or retire with the honor he has earned. An all-time great wrestler like Jordan Burroughs should go out on top.

Suerte que gomez es buen luchador de corazón, si no otro le uviera hecho lo mismo o le uviera metido los dedo en los ojos. Si uviera perdido la consetracion fuera 10 a 0. solo fue por un segundo o dos.

Burrogh is a dirty wrestler. From the start of the match he was slapping gomez and the reff did nothing. And look some cheap shot at the min 3:17 and 4:43 . That only show that he was scared of gomez. True champions don't act like that.
