A small diorama I've been working which will be representative of the Battle of Kharkov in 1943. This will be a two part series, the first deals with constructing the diorama base and the second will be about adding snow to the scene as well as vehicles and figures

Wow great work thanks for showing showing how you put all together
This was extreamly calming to watch. Everything was very well put together; pase, music, camera position etc. Brilliant work! Master class!
Your painting is fantastic.
Whitewash AND mud, two of the toughest finishes to get right and you tackled both! Everyone has their opinion of what looks 'right' but for me, I enjoy watching your 'process' - excellent work 💯
Awesome mate! Thanks for sharing and greetings from the Top End 👍🇦🇺👍
The addition of the snow effects totally transforms this scene. I especially like the faded whitewash effect on the vehicle. Well done very realistic outcome. Stay safe!
As usual it’s pretty damn excellent, the good part is it makes me want to try harder and it’s always good to learn new techniques and aspire.
18:37 I can smell and taste the cold and all the things from a winter pine forrest. Diesel, pine needles, smoke from a camp fire, mudd, metal, rust, weapon grease, the smell of cold weather moving in, coffee, potatoes, gravy and meat from army field pans and canteens. Wow! Just by looking at your work.
Fantastic Diorama My Friend I've Learnt some great Idea's From you o7
Brilliant work mate
We waited, and your mastery did not disappoint .. seemed like this incredible work , had been in the offing since Christmas. I would check every day ! then the one day i am out all day... my late Christmas present arrived.. .. i am delighted with this "end of line" its those little tiny details that have become your signature,. having just finished "the forgotten soldier" by Guy Sajer i felt like the cold and weariness those men must have endured, was so prevalent in this latest display.. ( i am aware that this wasn't the subject of Kharkov 43) ,,, Thank you , for my late gift. ATVB. Scott Somerset
Keeps getting better
Lovely work, love how you put everything in the right place..... great job!
Absolutely incredible! I think it’s one of your best yet.
Have to try the snow dusting and the sponge chipping one day...Very impressive and superb!
So detailed the Half track is amazing and the icicles are awesome
Fantastic!👏👏👏 I've not done a snowy scene. It must be daunting to have the groundwork looking that good to start covering it over - a real leap of faith! Great result, though - and the icicles are very realistic. I shall try that at some point!👍 Cheers.
Gorgeous, a truely remarkable diorama you have built there Ian!

Amazing 🤘🏻Work. Nice
hi ! Ian , another stunning dio ! extra realistic my friend ! lov the scenery ! master class buddy !! rgs jy
Grandios 👍🏼 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Magnifique!! ;)
Wonderful Ian...👏🥶 It always seems a pity to cover over the groundwork we’ve worked so hard on, but the finished snow effects all work really well. AK’s snow effects are a great product to use, loving the mini snow applicator, is that some exclusive high tech piece of kit......??😬 I’ve used a small adapted sieve before, but that does look perfect tbh! Great work on the half track too, detailing has really paid off, as well as those figures of course. Well thought out dio, great scene, setting the standards mate - well done 👍

Cheers Simon👍......high tech, lol......its a piece of tube with some old PE mesh in the bottom and a cocktail stick handle
amazing job and i learned a few new techniques to try...love the fish line icicles
I know you were waiting on your snow effect materials so the gap in between video part 1 and part 2 is unintentional but it actually worked out because we got to see a summer and a winter version of the scene. The snowy version really does look realistically cold. Are there footprints in the snow leading to where the figures are standing? I couldn’t make make that detail out very well. Thanks!
It's a big thumbs up for me Ian take care my friend 👍👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏✌️🐑😁😂🍺

Thoroughly enjoying your dioramas, and now into my third based on your videos. Might I suggest a tutorial on how you set up and photograph your ‘final reveals’? For me it is yet another interesting element to the hobby with interesting possibilities.....

Thanks.....I'm afraid my photography is pretty simple, as I just photograph on my modelling table and use a flash gun on my camera which is handheld 👍
EXCELLENT AS NORMAL FIGS VERY GOOD ,BUTT, WHERES THE WILD LIFE 😜 .
Is it me or is there a bigger gap between the drive sprocket and the first road wheel on the track on the right side? A beautiful diorama, I felt cold just looking at it. Very nicely done, kind regards, MR"T".
Beautiful job...poignant and evocative! If you don't mind me asking, where do you keep all these wonderful dioramas and vignettes?

Thanks......I have some display shelves and older dioramas fall off the end to get recycled and new dioramas take their place .......vehicles from dioramas I'm breaking up go in to a display cabinet and figures get reused on new projects👍
