Thanks for that. Am doing the Meng now. Stopped the build ages ago at the tracks but have found a use for the Covid isolation- great for doing track assembly. Detail is so much better than Tamiya. Cost also, id happily do another for the variation/ option. A close up would’ve been great. Took screen shots though. Good vid.

Great video Cain, i love the side by side comparison, really enjoyable. I scratch my head at companies that can't get their own instructions right, i don't understand how it can be that hard, perhaps a sign that the people making them never actually build them. Great work mate, take care 👍👍👍

Nice to see your comparison. I build both and have 3 more Jagdpanthers in the stash. And guess what? Those are all Dragon kits and one each Panther G and F. I just like to build those Dragon Panthers. Exactly the running gear is a joy for me. And as you mentioned much crisper detail and the parts are more like the real thing. I ordered all the kits through ebay from China. They all have DS tracks plus magic tracks. So worth taking a look.

Great video. I like the side by side comparison. Very interesting. Agree on the MENG tracks.. I have had their panther ausf d build for over a year now. Superb build. It's still sitting without its tracks. To be fair.....the tracks are assembled but without the guide horns. God.....they are tiresome.

Brill comparison video Cain mate. I think I built the dragon one a few years back. I found it a bit of a pain. It was my first ever dragon kit to so perhaps if I bought it again now I might find it a little easier. Stay safe buddy

Mottys Military Models Hey man. Seems if you snag the “Smart Kits” they’re less fiddly and a more pleasant build. Working on a Dragon IV F and it’s a not bad build so far. Take care.

Great comparison. It looks as if King Dragon is getting slowly pushed off the throne these days. Its got to the point that if a certain subject is offered in brands other than Dragon, I am going non-Dragon.

@@ScaleModelAlberta yes. So many KTs out there. I've built the Zvezda KT which is a rebox of the Drsgon kit. Nice model. I've built the Academy last KT. Nice kit. I have, but not built the MENG. KT. Nice kit. And am building at this very moment Hobby Boss. July 1945 (I know.....right? What if. But you can make a production model too) KT. Guess what? Nice kit. They all have their good/not so good points but they will all build into nice KTs regardless. The MENG and Hobby Boss have nice rolled steel texture if you're into that kinda thing. Meh. But all these kits cost £25 or less, which is outstanding value. All have indi tracks, all have pe apart from Zvezda, and the HB model even has an alu barrel and resin muzzle brake cover! What else do you want? 😆

And the winner is Meng, the same quality, nice PE, great tracks but lots of work, in may case almost 16 hours i think, and the price is the winner, 40 € fantastic kit

I'm currently building the Dragon G2 kit was wondering if you had any fit issues with the cooling fans sitting too high when trying to attach the top of the hull? The top deck grills(plastic) for the cooling fans are either to tall or the cooling fans on the inside are too tall. I've never made a Panther hulled vehicle from Dragon so I don't know if its me or the kit. Considering I just started this kit last night my mojo is fading fast and these fit issues are making want to bin it. Any info you could offer would be most appreciated thanks.

I used extra fans from my parts bin since there was no way to make the Dragon ones work. Lots of little errors in Dragons instructions as well. Go slow and if you have other resources check them while you’re building. Unfortunately it doesn’t get any easier with those dragon kits. I built the Meng first and used it as a guide to building the Dragon kit.

Is this the famous G2 from meng with the crane and non included engine haha! I see its dragon now I just bought the G2 with crane and engine from meng well it says with engine on front of box but it doesn't come with one nor is it in the instructions so bad shout for meng with false advertisement! But it was only 45 bucks for a brand new release engine or not still a lovely kit so is there Ausf A bergepanther
