An absolutely fascinating era/topic.. It catches the beginnings of modern (electric powered, radio/speed-of-light transmitted) media industry where pure information becomes seriously managed, commodified, propagandized in streamline fashion. In fact, because this general subject matter isn't part of curriculums, there's been way too little interest and understanding, and as a result, I think may have gotten a bit out of hand.. But that's where the interesting controversy is.. Should the selecting/shaping of information be free-form, or managed..? And by whom? And for what ends? Who decides what's important, what isn't, and for whose benefit... So on, and so on..
