Incredible job on the chassis, I'm not kidding it's inspiring to see someone take the time to make a copper frame at 1/24 scale. With Soldering being tedious sometimes it must have test your patience. Great job

It's a shame your not building them because you did an incredible job but I would imagine you would have to charge more than anyone would ever want to pay because of the time you have into them. I wanted to do the same thing until I realized the time. It would take so I just got a simple injora buggy wow your work was amazing though. But wow the 3d printed one is so awesome.

For what it is and everything I think 40 bucks is a fair price. What three years later for the scx24 hot racing Rock Bouncer chassis is $48 plus tax and that's not tube work. But yeah that looks really good

Na, its a brick oven we made for smoking meat, its about 4ft tall, so I just pull a chair next to it. I just like it there because im mostly outside dealing with the pets and just makes it easier to record I guess :)

I broke a gear in my losi transmission and I can’t find the stock one do you suggest any metal ones or other plastic ones to replace all the gears ?

So where can I buy a copper one?

Having a hell of a time to find the long bolt for the stingray frame. Would u know where to get something that will work?

Which one? You should only really need two 14-15mm bolts to hold the front upper link, and for that you can even cut down the original bolts that held stock upper link in place, those are longer than 15mm :)

Sumo crawler axles are actually recomended since they allow for much higher wheel speed with lower drivetrain temperature, losi axles are notorious for melting stock plastic gears on differential when spun fast enough due to the worm gear design.

Yes, I made adjustments to the design so it works with my motor plate. The Furitek motor plate wont wort though as it has motor sit a tiny bit higher.

Hi your vids are great - I've got a super newbie, super-frustrating issue I hope you can help with: when I turn on my redcat transmitter & sumo, I cannot seem to control the % of adjustment on any of the controls - they just keep zooming up and down from 100 to 0 so my steering is always trimmed full right, y servo throw is always at 0, no matter what I do. I am not a total RC newbie but new to Redcat and this crawler. Is there a way to reset the transmitter to what factory settings should be? Any advice would be helpful. I almost think the transmitter is faulty but I can't quite believe that - it's got to be something really dumb I'm not doing! Thanks and once I get through all this and the darn things works right, I plan to grab one of your 3D printed bodies among many other useful mods you've suggested. Much appreciated - Bill

As far as I know the only thing you could do at this point is reset the connection between transmitter and receiver, press the small button on the receiver so that the led starts blinking, then while holding the red "SEL" button on the transmitter turn on the transmitter, this should bind the transmitter to the receiver as a new receiver. If this does not solve the issue the problem is something else. But from what I can tell from your post it does not seem to be a transmitter issue, it seems to me that the servo horn is not placed correctly. Take off the horn and then turn on receiver and transmitter. Once both are on set servo trim to 0. Only after doing this connect the servo horn to the proper position while still keeping everything on, this should solve the issue without having to do the whole rebinding process I mentioned earlier. Hope that helps :).

Thanks vey much for the advice! I did re-bind the transmitter to the sumo but no joy. The issue is that the transmitter keeps shifting between normal and reverse and I cannot seem to get it to settle into "normal" mode no matter how I press the button. This causes the wheels to keep shifting left & right as the transmitter cycles between normal and reverse......it's driving me crazy!!! Same with steering trim - if I push the button left or right, the numbers just cycle all the way through and I can't get them to stop at the place I want (or any place!) Anyway - I really do appreciate your detailed reply and I'll keep trying - and keep watching your vids!!!!

I have looked at your Rock Bouncer Chassis on shapeways and you write that an SCX24 Deadbolt is needed as donor. How about an SCX24 Jeep, can it be used?

The reason I say Deadbolt is needed as donor is because the links fit better to keep the look I designed it for. Any scx24 can be used as long as you use deadbolt links or make your own links or combination. Some people mix jeep and deadbolt links for their own wheelbase that fits their crawling needs better.

@@Gamyrc I have ordered "Rum Runner SCX24" from shapeways and there you write "longer shafts for extending stock shocks unless aftermarket shocks are used" Just so I can be prepared, what length should I go for?

@@manucatangiu440 Losi micro crawler trans, links are dependent on which balls you decide to use. I usually go with sumo parts since they are so cheap but you can use micro-t stuff as well or losi micro crawler stuff. Use what you have at hand, its what I do :)
