This summer, Tate Modern has opened its doors to Africa, dedicating an entire wing to two of the most important artists working today: 82-year-old visionary modernist Ibrahim El-Salahi and contemporary free-thinker Meschac Gaba. Writer and curator Morgan Quaintance discovers their extraordinary personal stories, and a struggle for recognition that spans six decades.

Ibrahim will never be forgotten, he is an artist of renown, forget The Tate! forget all of that that seems important to many! . . . but forget the "Now", this is futuristic art! and will be celebrated in it's time, seemingly above all overs for a time, but in that time it will inspire. and that is an important happening. . . a progression. . . Direction!
I am Danish American. My sons heritage is decendant off Danish,/Norwegian Vikings. I am proud to be the bridge between it all.... It's ok. Africa is so much more than Slaves...as is it's decendants. As is true for Art as well as Music Ibrahim el- salahi If you think of it....as time goes by, who is remembered profously, Artist and Musicians. Amazing...🇩🇰🇺🇸🇳🇴🎇🗽🦅♥️

Forget about Pablo Picasso or Henri Mattise--this is the man. Reall, this video gave me a paradigmatic shift in consciousness about art--from Afriacn art to an African artist.
