1/12 Scale Phicen TB League Custom Head Swap with Marvel Legends Pt. 2

This video shows how I customized a 1:12 scale Phicen body to match a Marvel Legends Dora Milaje head. Pt. 1 shows how I wigged the head. These figures are for adult collectors and not meant for children.

Your dolls are incredibly realistic, quite amazing. I really enjoy your tutorials you have such a soothing voice. Thank you for keeping me entertained for the past year, it has encouraged me to get my old doll house out of the attic and give it some love. It's 47 years old and the love is overdue....please give my regards to Mary, no doubt she's busy somewhere, hope she makes an appearance soon.

I absolutely love these 1:12 scale Phicen dolls. I have the girl and the guy. I wish this company would start making children. I also love the movement and how real they look in the dollhouse. You are right about the hair. Mine arrived with her hair smooth but it is course. I wonder why they didn't use the same type of hair as on the 1:6 scale? I was really surprised how well the chalk worked. How in the world did you ever think of that? They look just amazing and don't even get me started on how crazy cool the hair came out!! Thank you so much for sharing. Of course now I'm heading over to ebay to look for those heads!!!!!

I would have never I thought about using chalk, but I think that the pastel would cling on well since it’s made of silicone, great idea! They came out beautiful!! (Also I think Mr. super clear might seal it in as others have mentioned, but I’m not sure how it would react to the silicone. It’s some pretty strong stuff so a mask and ventilation will be good but I hear it will protect it so that the chalk won’t need to have touch ups in the long run.) I’m still super wowed by how realistically we’ll you did! 🙀♥️

I've heard about Mr. Super Clear, but all the warnings about how toxic it is scared me away. So far, the chalk is holding up pretty well, with occasional light touch-ups.

I just got another action figure and it seems like they're using finer hair now..maybe it's the change to TB League but it's definitely improved. I really need to get more men as my only two are John Wick heads...they look different because the expression and styling are different Also I wanted to tell you about how great the Damtoys "Drawman" body is. It isn't seamless but is arguably the best articulated figure I own. You can position him any way you want (You need to be crafty with the head connector and you can see his joints but it's an amazingly good figure for not too much money (AliExpress), cost me roughly 10 GB £ which is half the price of TB League...it depends what you are looking for of course. I just thought to let you know in case it's helpful, as you have shared some great tips with us!

It still looks good, even after handling and redressing the dolls. I do occasionally need to touch up the color for photos because it can look a bit streaky.

How has the color held up on the doll? I would like to color some but heard it will rub off if you don't use silicone paint. Lint sticks well enough to silicone LOL seems like paint pigment wouldn't be an issue but I am interested in your experience after 2 years

I haven't tried to add the pastels to the original head, but it's not made of the same soft silicone as the body so I don't think it would work.

I don't recommend painting the body - I tried it with acrylic paint and it cracked. I didn't seal mine, so I don't know what the results would be. The color has held up on mine fairly well, but I do need to touch it up occasionally.
