Videos like this one certainly make people admire the whole process and eventually love this hobby in general. I really enjoyed watching it, felt like a vlog that got transformed into a mini-documentary.

Wow, she turned out very pretty! Her armor looks just like I imagined it. I did not have Yuki's head for her in mind but the eye decals make it work. They are a good choice. The castle ruin looks awesome too. Keep up the good work.

I'm excited about your new 3D printer. I never had a bamboo lab but they are upper class filament printers. My recommendation for the start is to use simple PLA without additives for effects like fibers(resilience), (metallic) powders or pigments like 'glow in the dark'.

I am a total newb when it comes to 3d printers, and I imagine I will have quite the large learning curve, but thankfully I know of a few pros who can lend me a helping hand should I require it. I take it you print stuff too? If so, what sort of things do you use it for may I ask?

@@MrSpriken I started with filament printing. The majority of prints were cases or to hold stuff in place like sensors or cameras. I also printed some figures and did some experiments with articulated figures still on fmd printers. Than I started with resin printing and printed some miniatures and again articulated figures. During my last job I did 3d printing for prototyping and small scale production.

That’s awesome! Sounds like you have loads of experience. I’m happy this printer seems to be fairly straight forward to use and easy to get going right of the box. Now all I need is time to do it. Wish me luck!

Twine Rope thought experiment? try carefully using a flame to burn off the fraying bits and darken it see how that looks?

I'm late to this video oh no! I'm currently catching up, the diorama turned out AMAZING you really knocked it out of the park. The musume model is excellent as well. I just love looking at all the details you put in it. I have the same leave punch but I didn't think to use real leaves, great idea. All the moss makes me happy too.

Thanks so much my friend! Means a lot coming from a talented fellow like yourself. The moss really brought the whole thing to life I think, and it was easier to work with than I thought. Oh and lastly, about the real leaves, somehow when punched into small ones like this they don't seem to dry up or lose their colour. Its like magic 🐣

3d printer? That's an FDM printer (the type using filament spools as opposed to resin curing) So good for larger low detail items like landscape, wall paneling, vehicles, etc, that you'll add stuff on top of. while for high detail miniatures you'll look into SLA printing (resin)

From what I heard about figma, especially the nendoroid is that the longer the figure is in the original box the worst it’ll probably be like a sticky residue or becoming brittle, like it needs air to stay in good condition (only heard it from a review of a Doki doki litterateur club Monika nendoroid). How long did chestnut stay in his tome?

@@MrSpriken I’m just going by third ear, but if the horse feels like a normal plastic horse then the fact that it fell and broke it’s neck might just have been random like I’ve had my dc superheroes s3 Superman figure since it was released and then one day I broke his arm just by rotating it like normal, glued his arm a couple of times throughout the years but it kept breaking again like it was fate or something. Anyway now he’s in a bag waiting for me to try to fix him the fourth time
