1,100 MILES!! Back to back RV drive days - Full-time RV Living

RV drive days can be fun and exciting, but that if you have to drive over 1,000 miles in 2 days? We drove from Key Largo in the Florida Keys to Winchester VA in two days. Along the way, we stopped at a Walmart in South Carolina for the night.
If you're curious about the journey and what it takes to complete that many miles in two days, come along for the journey.

Thanks. We are always working to improve. Glad someone has noticed! Some videos are better than others since we have a clear plan before to start recording. Others, not so much. For those, we apologise is advance 😄

@@TheGrayAdventures Yes, but the impromptu are good too. You have given my family (and I'm sure more) great information on places to visit that we never would have thought of for upcoming vacations. Much happiness to you and yours. 🙂🙂🙂

Thanks! We've had a few close calls on the road on travel days, but traveling at 60 miles an hour ensures that we are prioritizing safety (and gas mileage) over time to destination. Getting there faster doesn't matter if you don't get there at all.

Thinking of fulltime rving. Our question is how do you handle Dr or dentist visits or medical stuff? Thanks, great video!

We have healthcare incurance through healthcare.gov. since we used FL as our home state, we have done doctor and dentist visits while there, but the insurance has covered us when we needed to use it out of state was well. Each plan is different, so you'll just have to check what you can and cannot do with coverage.

I laughed when you complained about the cost of the gas. Being from Nova Scotia, I regularly pay as much as $50 C to fill up our C-RV... Sigh! Great video, as always.

It's all relative. When we lived in Italy, we paid close to $2 per liter. The moral of the story is if you want cheap gas, live in Texas.

The "we bought a house" video was real time. All of our travel videos are on a 4 to 6 week delay. We will have a few more videos before we catch up to the house buying.

Since most RV families average less than 400 miles on drive days, we'd have to disagree with that statement. We've done a lot more on other trips, but it is physically and emotionally exhausting.

@@TheGrayAdventures Do what you're comfortable with. 400 miles per day in Montana and you'll be there for a week.

More like a day and a half. When you live on the road full time, people usually aren't in a huge rush to get places. Typically, full timers will find their next spot to stay at within a day's drive, giving themselves enough time for a leasurely morning to pack up the RV, wrangle all the kids into the truck, drive for 2 to 8 hours to the next state park or campground, set up camp again, make dinner and settle in for the night.
