    You broke it. We live up a trail in da mountains. My wife has drove around abandoned trucks in snow and moondust in all seasons coming up to our place in her 91 Tracker for years. Never been stuck or had to walk away from it. Tracker has the best entry and exit angle of any 4x4 vehicle made. Axles are nearly in front or behind the bumpers. She's a little old lady in her sixties working at the hospital. Daily drive to her. Grand adventure to you guys. Hahaha

    I had back in 96 a 89 Suzuki samurai that was completely gutted interior and 35x12.50x15 wheels and tires that we had took off a 85 ramcharger.they fit with stock height just had to cut the fenders little bit.that thing was unstoppable!!

    The front diff will take tons more abuse if it's welded. What happens is the side gears smash out of the carrier. I've blown up 3 front diffs, ripped the bolts out of the housing on one and smashed the housing on another. And I've blown multiple cv joints.

    I know this is an old video, but I need help. I just bought a new fully loaded 2022 Jeep Gladiator Rubicon. It's really a beautiful truck, I don't even want to scratch it, plus it was quite costly, and I don't want to do anything that voids my extended warranty. Problem is, I get anxiety just going thru the car wash. Plus the gas mileage is atrocious, not even as advertised on that sticker when driving conservative. Over the past couple of months, I've fallen in love with these. Which is crazy, being that I made fun of anything Geo all throughout high school and college. I now desperately want one... 4x4, 2 door, 5 speed manual. Those are musts. Not as concerned about soft vs hardtop, unless one could not easily convert a soft into a hardtop. Recently came across a company that makes after market hardtops, and they look amazing. The end goal would be a hardtop. So, other than my question regarding the top up above, what are the years that make these models? It's kind of hard to find information online. From the looks of it, they produced 2 doors up until 2003, but just changed the badge? I don't care whether it's a Geo or a Chevrolet, so long as its basically still an American Suzuki. Also, which years had 95+ hp, and were those engine upgrades available on the 2 doors. Not only would this be a worry free toy off road, it would be a daily driver, or at least one of two, so I would like to be semi comfortable on the highway and in the city, and I've heard the 80hp engines leave much to be desired. If someone responds, greatly appreciated and thanks ahead of time.

    I bought two NEW Yamaha Grizzly 700 4x4 atvs for about 20k out the door. We put 2" lifts on them, 31" outlaws, and winches. We wheeled them for 18 months and put 750 miles on each of them. I tried to sell them for 6 months and the best offer I got for both was $8,500. Between mods and the atvs, I lost about $14,000 in 18 months. On the flip side of that I bought a 2002 Toyota Tacoma double cab (crew cab) 4x4 TRD with a rear factory electric locker for $8,500. I put about $3,000 in it worth of sliders, tube bumpers, 9k winch, 33" tires and 2.5" lift. I have had it for 6 years and put over 55k additional miles on it. I still get offers to buy it for what I paid for it 6 years ago and it will go almost anywhere I took my atvs. Vehicles will ALWAYS hold their value better than toys. Plus they are engineered and built to go hundreds of thousands of miles. Most side by side engines are toast after 10,000 miles, with maybe the exception of Honda.

    This a typical answer from younger generations who grew up off roading side by sides. Most of these younger guys have never seen a Suzuki Samurai with a coil suspension lift that has 40 inches of articulation (even more if they have wider toyota axles under it) and can score a 1000 RTI score on a 30 degree ramp. Something no side by side could do without having over $30,000 in it total. You can achieve those results with a $2,300 suspension on a $2,500 Suzuki Samurai. As far as horsepower, they also sell kits to install a 2.0L tracker motor in a Suzuki Samurai that makes 127 HP. The engine and whole setup can be had for about $1,000. 127 hp is higher than most side by sides with the exception of the turbo models. But then I could I also point out that there are a LOT of guys who have put 200 horsepower chevy 4.3L v6 in the Suzuki Samurai. Again this would cost maybe $2k. I have seen Samurai's built out, with under $10,000 total in them, that will destroy any side by side in any event except for dunes. You remind me of guys back in 2002 that use to drive around in $30k Camaro SS talking about how bad@ss their car is. I would take my $5,000 1982 S10 with a 350 V8, give them two car lengths head start, and run them down like they were sitting still. I would literally embarrass them. I made sure afterwards they knew I had only $5,000 in my truck and it just whipped their $30,000 "muscle car".

    Not even comparable to a rzr

  • @Steven-gv1ke

    @Steven-gv1ke

    5 жыл бұрын

    I totally agree. A rzr will be trash after it has 10,000 miles on it. You will have a $20,000 paperweight. You can buy a Suzuki Samurai, Suzuki Sidekick, or Geo Tracker for $3,000 with 150k miles on it, and it will easily go another 50k to 100k miles. Plus here is another comparison for you: Pioneer 1000 UTV: 63" wide, 76HP, 1,670 lbs. $18,000 Suzuki Vitara: 65" wide, 127HP, 2,100 lbs, $3,500. Now imagine putting another $5,000 in tires, long travel shocks, long travel coils, sliders, bumpers, winch and roll cage, and you would be at only half the cost of the Pioneer 1000 yet probably out wheel it. Plus these vehicles have hit their low of value, meaning you could wheel it for 5 years, and sell it still for $5,000. Your side by side that was 20k will be worth 5k in 10 years or 5k miles, which ever comes first.
