I have seen Geoff hit a G0 subharmonic for a slit second in a video. It's not within his comfort zone, though. I am sure, Geoff could easily go lower than he does, but he focusing more on what he will actually record. Peter Barber has already said Geoff is a much lower bass than him, while I have heard Peter do fry notes in the negative 1 octave.

Geoff’s Bb0 was actually a C1

3:34 will always stand out for me. David is the OG of subharmonics. I remember the time when only he would post videos using the tecnique. No wonder he sounds so refined nowadays.

Ioannis is one of the few out there that has me beat in doing subharmonics. The guy's voice is just SO low! I can do Eb0 subs and feel like a commoner to his depth and resonance!

Damn, I knew I wasn’t crazy when I felt like I went lower in subs, cuz in those 0 octave subs I learned that those are extremely hard to do since most of the time u might just be going full vocal fry, but there’s a slight connection when trying those subharmonic registers but u really have to mess with ur fry and see if u can transition it to it the same way any other subharmonic works. I surprisingly picked up on that just cuz I was curious several months ago to maybe a yr ago if it was possible and strangely enough it is

My lowest subharmonic is an Eb0, which was done from a chest-fry Eb1. I also use the same note to jump off to an Ab0 subharmonic, as well. And, I am sure there is someone out there who uses even lower chest notes than I can to produce subs.

Yes if we use chest-fry as the fundamental when we do subharmonics, obviously we can go down even lower. I wanted to say that it was the lowest chest note as a fundamental I’d ever heard. I really want other oktavists and basso profondos to learn subharmonics!

David and Ioannis are insane, wow. I do subs and notes in 1st and 0th octave but I'm curious what app you use to track. As of now I only have something that can accurately tell me down to about E0 and then I have to use my own feel and good pitch, not perfect, to find the rest underneath. I've even went and tried to use a frequency generator to find roughly what the note is below that. I don't have to use it very often though lol, I'm no Tim Storms, though it would be a life goal to be so.

C1: 0:39 C0: 4:55

My highest note is A5 and my lowest is D2 (I can go lower all the way to D1, but I can't do a very good job with those). My whistling highest is D8 and my whistling lowest is G4.

If the note is clean enough I Just check it through Melodyne, But if not I Just rise a pitch by an octave in a programm

It's a B0 minus few cents or a Bb0 plus few cents, so B0/Bb0, but I though it's just a bit closer to Bb0:)

i think david uses inhale for notes below C1 but the 2 G#0s in this comp are bgvs so i could be wrong idk

It’s certainly possible with second, third, fourth subs and so on, but a first sub would be ungodly. The lowest first sub I’ve heard was a flat C#0 and that was with a profundos best morning voice.

Sorry, but Geoff is the only one that hit those low notes cleanly and enjoyably. All the others sounded like garbage. Great job, Geoff, the rest of you keep practicing, you'll get there but never as good as Geoff.
