    Nice camera work and narration along the way. So many videos don't show things clearly or explain what's going on...

    I think I did mine wrong on my 2011 corolla. Without researching, I placed the smaller o'ring in the housing piece/tube before I installed the new filter in it. I didn't even look in the engine housing where the oil filter housing screws into to see if there was an O-ring to remove from there. Should I remove that small O ring I placed on the screw in housing under the filter?

    I dunno about you, but I've only paid 45 bucks an oil change for my Corolla. At that price, it was worth it to save myself the time and mess of doing it myself every 5 months.

    Do we need to replace the crush washer (idk how to say it) every time we change oil?

  • @Peanu7butt3r-Garage

    It is recommended to. It’s only $1 addition to each oil change, even less if you get aftermarket. That’s worth not dripping oil to me.

    then... where to discard the used oil? and how to reset the oil change light?

  • @Peanu7butt3r-Garage

    @Peanu7butt3r-Garage

    Reset the light by putting the right dash display on Trip A, then turn the key off. Hold down the right stick then turn the key to turn the electronics on. You will see a countdown indicator on the dash display. Continue holding the right stick until the animation completes. Please dispose of used oil responsibly. Auto part stores like AutoZone typically allow you to pour it into a large container in the back (or they will do it for you). I plan to have a more thorough “what to do after an oil change” video.

    Small note: You should always use the dipstick to double check that the oil level is correct after filling.

    Honestly though, if it's a Corolla you can get away with pouring almost the entire 5 qt oil jug into the engine as the oil pan widens towards the crank case to accept the margin of error.

    I guess this isn’t the same as my duramax as I add oil in the new filter before install. Just got my first 2010 Corolla so I’m trying to get up to speed. $20 gives me a half tank of gas and as for my diesel $30 turns the low fuel light off for about 15 to 29 kms!! I’ll stick the duramax in the garage until Putin decides to be a good little boy again.

    Oil filter cap will not come off

    They over torque your oil filter cap. That is why it is not coming off. You need to take it to the your mechanic and ask him or her to loosing the torque with their air gun. Since you will not able to get the oil cap loose manually.

    @@hiiro24 nope even better... the previous owner put Vaseline on the threads of the cap. I had to take it to Take 5 for the oil change because I broke a few filter wrenches and a ratchet.
