Ah! That too was my first thought a year ago when I discovered the UU's. And then I realized - if I may be, means oh yes I am indeed. :)

listening to this made me realise I'm a unitarian christian.

To answer manchesterbullion below, I would say wisdom. Older people have been searching for more years for a personal truth. Most people go along with whatever religion they were raised to believe or don't really practice religion after adulthood. Spirituality is a path and I know that one of the things that has bothered me as a Christian is being told that other religions are wrong when so many religions stem from the same basic stories and principles. Judaism, Islam, Christianity, etc all preach the same values but differ in how they recount historical events. They all believe in the same God, too, but with the addition of the trinity in Christianity.

I absolutely agree with what you said Kristen. As a matter of fact, I've said it myself. At age 65 I found the UUs on my own and FINALLY I found out that what has always bothered me about being Christian, has bothered others and they were here all along, waiting for me to find them! I think it is decidedy unChristian to find fault with other religions because they don't believe as we do. Now I feel fulfilled spiritually and secularly.

I have noticed that sermons of the Unitarians are full of mature people. Any reason why?

at 3:13 mark The apostate “Trinity” view of God is supported in the Bible on only two verses, 1 John 5:7 & 8. However, these two verses do not exist in the original Greek and Hebrew texts. Revealingly, they are also not found in the original 1611 printing of the King James Holy Bible. They have since been inserted to shore up the apostate concept of the Trinity, and are to be disregarded as fraudulent. In an effort of correction, many modern Bibles are now being printed without these two verses. This correction restores doctrinal continuity throughout the Old and New Testaments and once again renders the concept of the Trinity to be completely void of any scriptural support whatsoever. Psalms 139:8 if hell is a place for sins Jesus would go there cause he took the sins on himself. the why was not the original sinners Adam Eve and Cain and Pharaoh where not warned?.. Then you have Paul. who wrote to the churches in corinth, how was it to is it, they where not warned of this place?.. #Im willing to serve

I recommend the book by Bart Ehrman "How Jesus became God" as a history of how the belief in the Trinity came about. It's a fascinating read.

Unitarians are about as vibrantly diverse as cream cheese; it's basically NPR at prayer.

Why do I hear nothing about jesus?
