    Here in the UK We get a few JDM V35 Skylines, in 4dr 2.5 auto, that were brought over as cheap normie cars. We also have a lot of very rusty 350z. Instead of turboing my e46, I’d love to 3.5 6sp swap a V35 with the GT Rays, Brembos & Bose sounds. I’m also on the minority that loves the sound of an NA VQ.

    Ok I did the swap my self but I changed the wiring harness and ecu.. but no power to obd2 port to program the ecu.. now if I go back to factory harness and ecu.. how did you wire the speed sensor..

    The only wiring that needed to be done was for the starter inhibitor and the reverse sensor. Everything else worked as it should. Not sure where the g35 picks up its speed reading from but it's not from the transmission.

    I’m doing my swap currently and I swap whole harness to get the clutch sensor now I’m moving on to installing my clutch pedal but the holes on it don’t line up with the foot ebreak any recommendations??

    Hey can you do this to 06 sedan one was a g35s manual new one 06 g35 auto I have the old motor and tranny and ecu and harness clutch pedal and all but one car was key and new car keyless will that be a problem with turning over the car

    You have to buy a whole clutch master to get it. They're not sold separately. I suggest going on ebay and getting a used one

    I have a 05 manual swapped g35, with a 350z engine, manual trans, and ecu it’ll start and drive but after you kill it, it won’t start unless the ecu is reset. Do you know what could be the issue?

    I have done a manual swap on my g35 as well and what have you done with the wires that are on the transmission? I believe is from the ECU to the transmission wires

    The only transmission wiring is for the reverse switch. You dont have to do anything else with it

    You wouldn't have a choice unless you can find a manual awd trans that would bolt up to the vq AND fit in the chassis

    What wiring did you need to do to get the car to start and drive? I plan on maintaining the auto ecu and wiring harness. Heard it’s just a few wires to jump but having a hard time finding documentation of exact cables

    Get a manual ecu or code the nats and make sure you jump the neutral safety

    You don't need a manual ecu or to code anything. You just jump the 2 wires in the fuse box and it will work.

    Are you reusing the Auto wiring harness in the auto car, or did you need to use the harness from the donor?

    Auto harness remained on the auto car. You CAN swap it if you want but it's not neccessary

    He said the 06 (auto) was nicer than the 05 (manual) so he wanted the 06 to the be manual instead

    Hey boss did you need a new ecu since the TCM is no longer plugged in? I know the TCM is what communicates the cars speed to the ECU

    Not something that needed to be addressed with this swap. The owner will be doing that part. Its quite a bit of work to do it actually.

    Its not necessary to do that at all. Just use the auto ecu

    @@FullDetailAutomotive hey man, so my g is sensing slip and has the AT check light on, which causes it to freak out and start grabbing the brakes. So essentially the car won’t make it 5 feet before locking the brakes up. So I end up just spinning one wheel and going nowhere. It’s literally the only thing left for me to do to this car. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.

    @@FullDetailAutomotive it has a bad 02 sensor and I ordered a new one, so I’ll replace it and see what that yields. The ecu is looking for the automatic transmission and I was wondering if that’s why.

    How was taking the auto pilot bearing out for you? I am currently doing this to a g and that was a pain. Just got trans and clutch in so next is bleeding and all that.

    @@huevigarage dont feel bad, we started to remove it and it was being difficult so we just stopped lol. Put the clutch on over it and it didnt interfere. Now it's just in there like an Easter egg

    @@FullDetailAutomotive that’s funny, well I got everything together today and for some reason no crank still. I wired pin 53 (gray/red) to a cigarette lighter for testing. Also wired the nss to 102 green/orange wire and grounded the other side. Any suggestions?

    @@huevigarage before you removed the AT shifter, was the car in neutral or park? You still have to trick the car into thinking it's in one of those 2 positions otherwise it wont crank over.

    Those wires don't exist on an auto car. Its just a safety so you can't crank the car when its in gear. Just pay attention and you won't need them

    Bridge it. Theres a fuse in the engine bay fuse box that needs a switched ign source and it bypasses it. Fuse......... 15? I don't remember

    No. The auto pilot bearing that was in there can be left there. You don't have to do anything with it

    Y'all manual swapping a car can be expensive!!! On top of that, your buttons on your steering wheel won't work and plenty of your traction won't be there.
