She is the next Lester Young, Stan Getz and Ben Webster all rolled up in a beautiful little package. She seems to be as sweet in her personality as she is sweet in her music. This should be played on American TV. The Jazz world as a whole needs to meet Andrea Motis and her mentor Joan Chamorro. Bravo, Bravo, Bravo

You so easily brush off two of the greatest saxophonists that we.ve known. Without a doubt this is an enormously talented artist but she is standing on the shoulders of the Rabbit and Big Ben.

Without comparing her to anyone else Andrea Motis is without doubt a fine sax player but sadly she finds little time to practice that skill and prefers the trumpet on which she goes from strength to strength: kzread.info/dash/bejne/i5ltq69sZanWoNI.html

Have you heard Ellington original version? This will always better any other artist version. Having said that I do recognise Andrea as one of the most talented of todays jazz stars.
Long Live Johny Hodges , GREAT ANCREA's Rendition on this Ellington Tune
Her rendition reminds me that style of Sidney Bechet... Magically, it links me somehow romantically to my dear Island Hispaniola....these beautiful sounds inflections, move me from warm sea waters towards Barataria, then through Louisiana, to New Orlean’s Jazz moods...never mind... I am dreaming...Motis gets so close and romantic; she touches me good!!
This truly joyfully listening after year long 2020 of fear n doubt on the street ...... let's pray covid19 to end and revival of music at studios and live..... Viva andrea and SAJB and all music lovers!!!
🤸♀️🤸♀️Ms. Andrea, the existence of your music will always be universal to me. Your perfection is priceless🎷🎷💞💞🌟🏄♀️🎉🎉🎈🎈
Lovely. Playing one of dukes many sultry ballads, proving she's paid attention to Johnny Hodges.
Look at to this young girls..... She was so perfect with that saxophone 🎷...... Beautiful...... 💕
super stuff
How does this happen ? &0 or more years pass since this tune was first heard. Then this girl discovers it and the treasure comes back to visit us.
Gracias!!!
Great talent!!!
Wow. This is so awesome. I am a big fan. Wish you will play in Melbourne soon.
She was 18 when she performed this. The expression on her face at the end explains it all.

Joe Morrissey - She's been playing it at least since she was 16: kzread.info/dash/bejne/ZICNq7CJcdTAnpM.html
Excellent performance. The title should be "All Too Soon".
the best version of all too soon
so peaceful~ I love it.
Another marvellous version of All To Soon by Andrea Motis after the earlier version in 2011 when she was 15. Johnny Hodges would agree. Why doesn't she privilege the alto sax more often. Clearly she is great on the trumpet which is her first love but why neglect her obvious talent on the sax.......?
