Thanks so much. Followed your step by step process and was able to replace my indoor door handle in 45 minutes. I can only imagine what my Lincoln dealer would have charged me for this. Also, got the replaced door handle assembly through Amazon for $ 12.98, what a bargain.

Thanks for this! I didn't feel like kicking out the money for a mechanic to over charge me. I just completed my installation and saved almost $150 in doing so.

Replaced mine on my zephyr today, the hardest part was getting the window panel up, which you made look easy, I just practiced some patience and got it. .You saved me a lot of money, thank you brother.

Thanks for the vid. The dealer wanted $250 for this. A local mechanic quoted me 1.5 hours labor, not including parts. I ordered the part online and did it myself within an hour. And I went slow as I have never removed a door panel in my life.

Thanks for sharing.... the handle just cracked and now I can't lock the door with the remote. I was going to take it to the shop but after seeing how straight forward it looks I think I'm going to tackle it myself.

Bill! I did it! I suck at automotive repairs. Bought the part for $21.00 on eBay and following your instructions, I had it installed in 35 minutes. I know others could do it faster but thanks to you, I made it happen. You saved me a lot of money. The only difficulty I had was getting the freakin' panel off the door. Also, I couldn't find the rubber spacer anywhere. Will that be a problem? The window and lock works great. You da' bomb!

Just happened to my car got the panel off just waiting on the part delivery they need to make the internal parts out of metal not thin plastic that breaks

I have quotes from $150 to $275 per door. Going to try this myself. No way it's two hours labor per door the dealership and my local shop wants.

Yes, it's pretty simple to tackle. Think of it as a memory puzzle. Good luck!

On my driver's side, the inside doesn't work but handle on outside works. On passenger, the inside did work & handle didn't until just recently had a family member attempt replacing outside handle & now neither will open the door & when unlock button on key is pressed the lock will glitch out on passenger. Suggestions?

No, they are a different size.

I replaced the handle on the driver's side and did everything according to video. The handle works perfect. HOWEVER, when I pull the handle on the outside it is locked. Thus, I have to use a key to get in. The fob won't work to open it. It is perpetually locked. Ideas???

Patsy Davis Have you double checked to make sure the connection for the lock button is seated completely? Also, does the lock button function from the driver's door?
