Thank youu Jimbo!!! I passed the test in 1 go because of you!!! I learned a lots theory from you and the practical with my husband which he was inpatient in teaching me driving for 2 times a weeks 😂 for 3 weeks. But it was much better than the instructor, earlier i took a lesson for 1.5 hours only from him because he his very easy to get angry. I was doing good, he said too to me but he just need to be more patient. How come we learn if we are scared and as will its very risky on the road, i was so scared doing wrong at that time. I decided not to continue with him, then i started looking on the internet. I learned from other channels . Then 2 weeks before my test i found you. Then everyday i just watched you and learned with my husband. We searched the test route and try to familiarise the route. I believe i can pass the test because i already knew the theory. On the test day i was so nervous, but i made it! 108/111. My husband and my friends shocked because I didn’t drive. Now I can drive everywhere. Thank youuuu soo muccchhhh, i wishh youu more succeed on your youtube channel and life!!!

Hello Jimbo, I've just passed my driving test in Victoria, Heatherton, first go!!! I converted my overseas licence from UAE, we drive on the other side of the road in the other side of the car. I never took any driving classes in Australia, only binge watched your videos. The examiner said I need to look more in my rear view mirror and do more shoulder checks, but otherwise great driving! also please discuss about how will you know if the road is multiple turning lanes if you cannot see its road markings due to the road being a little congested and it is being covered by the cars waiting in line to make a turn. Please also include the unbroken curve line that go across the road when turning. Hope I made sense and also please discuss about single turning lanes. THANK YOU!!!!!! Youre the best!

Hi Maria that's an important point that when there is alot of traffic you cannot see the markings painted on the road to tell if it is dual turning lanes. Sometimes there may be signs. It often gets down to just knowing the roads and watching what other drivers are doing.

Hi Jimbo, finding your videos has really helped clear up so many things for me, thanks! One thing I am unsure about: an instructor said that I can go up to 20km/h when the speed limits in parking lots say 10km/h. Is this really true? I have my test in a couple weeks at Macquarie, which starts in the shopping centre car park.

I tend to agree with your instructor. 10km limit is very slow. So do around 20km. These limits are not marked like road ones.

Hi Jimbo I did my test today and he failed me because I went through to the yellow light because if I stop I will end up in the middle of the road that’s why I went through

Jimbo, your videos are unmatched in quality and quantity. I thought I was ready for my test but failed for coasting (F8) - I understand my mistake of putting it neutral while slowing to a stop at the lights but the marker said I also clutch coasted a bit to stop signs etc. My issue is after downshifting eventually the car is too slow for 2nd and I feel I need to put the clutch in to prevent stalling and so have to be coasting a few metres. In future I will try to let the car get to the verrryy bottom of second before doing this but my car simply wont let me downshift into first unless the vehicle is almost completely stopped. What is your advice? And at red lights should I leave the car in neutral with clutch up or first and clutch down? Thanks in advance Jimbo

Hi Rafael yes in manual don't throw it in neutral at say 60kms an hour and then just brake. And also don't just push the clutch in and just brake. Everyone who drives manual does these things and thinks it's normal but it doesn't go well on a test. I prefer to consecutively gear down and bring the clutch up each time. However when you get to 2nd and you know you are going to need 1st, leave 2nd in with the clutch up until a couple metres from stopping or the end of your road, then push the clutch in and hold down and roll up the last couple of metres. You won't get F8 if you just roll a couple of metres with the clutch down in 1st.

I passed yesterday 😅 second try , the first time i failed because i didnt stop when the light turned yellow from green

Yes in NSW you can take such a car. The examiner actually can't mark your speed accurately but they don't care about that.

Hi jimbo, I really need your advice on parallel park, I failed my test twice because of the same mistake hitting the kerb. I’m trying so hard but for some reason I can’t get it in my head. Please help me what do you recommend 😢😢

Hi Sarah you don't fail because you hit the kerb. It becomes a fail when you hit the kerb hard and you rise up a bit. I suggest you do the reverse park alot slower. Follow the directions i laid out in my Reverse Park video. Try not to have too much angle as that can lead to hitting the kerb more.

Hi Jimbo I have a question. I failed my driving test just under a month ago and the instructor said it was because at one of the stop signs half of the front bonnet was over the white line. 1. There is no way he could of told if it was over from where he was sitting. 2. He said there was 7 stop signs in the route I did. I went through the test route and there was 6 stop signs not 7. I am just wondering if there is anything I can do with this information because I think it’s unfair that he dosnt remember how many stop sings there were on a route.

Hi Joseph. Sorry to hear you got done for the stop sign. Honestly I would just rebook and try again. Unless you have some sort of video evidence which they don't allow then there is really nothing you can do. Just rebook and hopefully pass and this will become a distant memory.

When your in a 60 zone you can stay in the right lane but when you come up to the 80 zone you have to move over the the left when safe to do so?

The keep left rule applies when the speed limit is greater than 80kms.

If I'm a provisional P2 driver on the motorway and the speed limit is 110, am I allowed to drive at 80 in the leftmost lane just to be safe?

I think it's dangerous because you're supposed to go 100 so you're forcing everyone else to slow down. I'm a P1 driver and the only time I drive less than 90 on the motorway is when it's raining.

You can drive 80 but if the conditions are good I would recommend doing 100.
