This is a common thing with the ford factory amps to get the pop when you turn the car on it's from the amp wire that you found that had the ark on it, it requires 2 volts of power to turn on and your radio is giving it a full 12 volts all's you got to do is get the step-down relay they make for ford cars amplifiers to aftermarket amp turn on and that will stop that pop. they normally sell it with the wiring harness if your car is equipped with factory amps, and by the way the amps are located in the driver side foot well. I also bought and 07 GT and got a family, so I feel you on buying stuff for your car family responsibilities come first, so I just buy a part here and there until I get it all. I'll be posting on that build soon, but keep up the good work, all good things come in time bro!

bro that connection for the amps is so hard to find across any forums for the mustang oem amps (shaker 1000 or 500) systems. No one will ever tell you where it goes. Thank you for that.

Changed mine in the 3v as well, bought I think a 300 dollar Sony setup like yours. Instead of the almost $800 setup they sell for ours online lol. I didnt need anything fancy. Just something with Bluetooth and that was decently nice. I dont think I have a video on mine. I did it during a live stream for tiktok and got banned lol. Accidently said they R word towards the radio.

I recently tried installing a radio in my 06 Gt, connections were right but there was no power to the radio. On top of that I couldn’t catch my power to my windows and convertible top either, any advice you have that may help??

Check the fuse panel on the passenger side in the car then find the fuse for radio! Probably grounded the wires out like I did and it did the exact same thing yours did. Hope this helps man!

That is a butt connector that you heat with a heat gun. It has solder inside. It's gonna have heat marks

Dual radio are bad. In the 70's they were in Germany and were good.
