On December 8th, 2010 Metropolitan Opera star Marcello Giordani hosted a fundraising gala and concert with the Marcello Giordani Foundation, a not for profit organization dedicated to assist and support promising young opera singers. The foundation, founded by Mr. Giordani, was created to encourage and enable young talented singers from around the world to pursue and achieve their career goals and transition onto the professional opera stage. The concert and dinner took place on December 8th, 2010, at the Church of Saint Jean Baptiste, Lexington Avenue at 76th Street.
Under the guidance of Marcello Giordani, the Foundation establishes, organizes and sponsors master classes, seminars, and summer programs in the U.S. and abroad, as well as provides encouragement, training opportunities, career assistance and financial support, including scholarships and awards to promising and talented young singers. Many of them will be the great singers of tomorrow, and it is with them that the future of opera resides. It is the goal of the Foundation to contribute actively to their success.
The proceeds of the event will be devolved to the organization of the first Marcello Giordani International Vocal Competition sponsored by the MGF, to be held in Italy the Spring of 2011.

She's a coloratura goddess.
I can feel her happiness at the end. So PROUD of her.
Quem veio pesquisar mais sobre Maria Aleida no you tube e se impressionou com este video, depois dos vexames das cantoras brasileiras dá like aí rsrsrs
We need more sopranos like this !!!
I first noticed how fantastic she was when she sang/acted the Doll Song in the AVA presentation. She really confirms that strong impression every time!...
That is an spectacular rendition of Rosina's aria brava
Just can't help watching this video once a day (at least).
Nobody can sing this better than her. Such a range is rare to find. I have been listening to this piece and this is the best I have heard so far
What a thrilling voice. Born in Cuba, studied in Venezuela and masterclasses with Mirella Freni and Montserrat Caballe. No wonder she is spectacular. Listen to her in Rossini's 'Aureliano in Palmira' on KZread with the stunning Bogdan Mihai

Maravillosa!!!!!❤❤❤
Ho iniziato a seguirla dai primi video in cui era giovanissima ed ho sempre pensato che andava seguita perché aveva un grande talento. Sebbene alcuni virtuosismi sono eccessivi devo dire che è impressionante.. Bravissima
I am hypnotized and enchanted for this beautiful and sweet her voice.
Meu Deus q mulher é essa, dali Forami Magno, maravilhosa ♥
