Amen Sister! My best friend always told me when I turned 50 look out. I'd laugh, but not now. :) I'm 52 awaiting surgery to replace 1 knee and 3 months later hopefully 2nd knee. I totally relate and getting off the weight has made a huge difference in my movement. Good luck and I will enjoy watching your journey. :))

Thank you Mary, good luck with the knee surgery. I am sure I won't be too far behind you, but I want to be as light as possible for me beforehand. part of. Me is still hoping for stem cell intervention breakthrough . Take care , Anne

What a doll you are! No, there aren't many older folks out here, are there? I'm 61 and feel like the great-grandmother of the WLS community here on youtube. I have high blood pressure, insulin resistance, and a host of other "comorbidities" (what a yucky word, really). Won't we be just so glad to finally watch the scales going down, and all that goes with it! Good luck with your surgery. I'll be home, 3 days post-op, and thinking about you!

Thank you Anne. I am feeling very well re rny but am feeling a bit of a stitch in my tummy area due to the fact that the surgeon stitched up a pre-existing hernia while doing the RNY. Hope you are feeling better very soon! Wanda

I also am in that age group i am 52. I wont have my surgery till Sept or Oct. I need to do a Dr followed diet for six months,am in my fourth month.40 lbs down so far.Good luck with your surgery darling. Hope all go's well !! =)

Thank you. Wow you have done so well already, it will hold you in good stead for the op. I found time going ever so slowly but now I am thinking where did all the months go. You are really preparing your body so well , it will be worth the wait/weight lol, take care and best wishes, Anne
