Did you do an external regulator on the alternator? Does KMJ offer one? Worried at all about heat being so close to the header?

I only installed the KMJ titan alternator itself and the big 3 wire kit that he offers. Not sure about the regulator. As far as the wire being close to the header it's not really a concern as I bent it downwards to keep it away from touching.

@@loscar5oh Got ya. I have been looking into doing the alternator and the Big 3 kit as well. I know Mechmann offers an external regulator because our cars have the alternator so close to the header, and they tend to overheat the internal regulator. I read in another comment you have had the alternator on for 2 years so I'm assuming you have had no issues with that. Love the vids my man!

Can you run the power wire to the positive battery terminal post or it has to be run to the fuse box?

Every video i have seen, they run it to the positive post on the battery. Kinda strange to run it to the fuse box....

It would be a good question for KMJ. I simply followed the diagram provided in the kit

Only issue i have with where you mounted your fuse block is you need to take your tire off and splash guard to get to it if it ever blows.

Yea it's not very convenient, but it was either that or stuffing the big fuse block in the engine bay where there's already not enough space

@modlist6129 the dash was already slightly flickering before the install so I'm not sure what is the cause for that other than some bad ground somewhere. But it didn't get any worse after installing the kit

Yup, I did the big 4 wire mod to my Cobra over just the big 3.

​@@arnuflowzz7952 My wire kit with enough extra wire to make the 4th connection, but e you can buy more of the same gauge wire at any stereo/speaker store. Maybe even Best Buy
