Excellent job. More like art than modeling. I don't do diorama but enjoy watching it done and seeing the end result. You have a gift of detail. I would love to see you paint and age the brick. Thanks for sharing your work.

Great stuff bruh! Could you give some quick advice on how you created the pipes and electrical boxes?

+matthew charles Glad you liked this dio. As for the pipes, you can check my Video Tutorial #038 to find out more about the materials i used for my pipes, railings, etc. The electrical boxes are made from the same material as the diorama itself and cut into the size you see here. I just added the extra details like the box handle and top cover.

When you cut pieces off (ex. Doors, windows) how do you get it so smooth? When I cut a piece out of the foam it's all jaggity? Do you sand it down smooth?

  • @MechbayStudios

+Hip Toy Collector When cutting doors, windows, or any type of holes you have to make sure that your blade is always sharp/new. That will help you get a smooth surface 80% of the time. The rest of the imperfections I sand down using a fine grit sandpaper.

Amazing dude! Great work! The foam I got has little circles in it and doesn't look great. Any idea in the UK where to get the stuff you use or what it's called? Thanks man!

Thank you +traumaj The foam I used is called Foamular also known as Pink Insulation Foam. I buy them in our local hardware store. I'm not sure where you can get them in UK though.

What do you use to connect the pipes to the walls?

  • @MechbayStudios

Hi Ken. I’ve tried different methods in attaching pipes on my dios but the one that really works well for me is using paper clips. I use the curve section from it.
