Idk why most people already know that yet think it's super deep when it's said in a movie or some random person mentions it ._. Like most of the time we know all the self improvement stuff already but never act on it anyway due to different reasons but when a character does it in a movie it's like a 5 minute eye opener before going back to how things were and ultimately likely not doing something about the own issues. kinda depressing actually xD (btw that's not only towards you personally,I mean I dunno you,I've just been noticing it a lot and now it bugged me enough to open my mouth about it)

I really liked the detail of her mom being a punk in her younger days being a minor obstacle to the main character embracing her passion. Sometimes people want to define themselves against their image of their parents but it's always more important to follow your own desires even if it makes you a little similar to your parents!

I don’t think it was an obstacle tho? It was what she yearned to be all along on the contrary. What stopped her from following her dreams was her friends and a society that promotes uniformity and judges those who don’t fit.

Not to be that person, but to me it looks like she follows something more akin to Larme-kei. It's also a newer, more modern style that appeals more to a younger generation, whereas Himekaji is a bit dated, even though Y2K is popular with younger western audiences, a toned down girly look that borrows from k-pop and the Larme magazines (especially models like Risa Nakamura) is more popular with the japanese youth! Sorry for the correction, I hope I didn't come across as a party-pooper.

I suppose I just associate that rosy pink hue with himekaji, but looking at the simpler pattern and somewhat "romantic" vibe of their clothes, I'm inclined to agree with you that larme would fit Mana-chan's initial aesthetic better. Fashion substyles are not always well-defined, so there are always ambiguities. I appreciate the comment ♡

I also love how her and her friends look almost disturbingly similar- there’s nothing wrong with their aesthetic, but they haven’t really made it theirs. Just probably copied what was trending directly, rather than adapting or being inspired

I like how mum inspires her to be a musician, her group of friends are too judgemental and don’t share her interest in music. She’s cute but she’s unbelievably cute when she change her style, I like the rebellious look and the innocent naive one. Her mum probably was a bad ass based on her punk rock past.

今回の主人公ちゃんの「もうそんな時代じゃないし」っていう言葉、今より昔の方がみんなと違う変わり者を排他的に扱いそうだけどな それにすぐに情報が広がるからこそすぐに同じ仲間が見つかるはず 前回の主人公ちゃんも少し映ってちゃんと話が繋がっていると感じれて良かったです

I know it's been a while but did anyone else notice she gets two articles of clothing: the bracelet, which she was about to pick for herself and is unlike what the other two girls wear, and her mom's boots because she is now walking in her footsteps as her own rockstar?? ;7;

A little detail that I noticed: We know what Mana has two Instagram accounts, the one where she posts her selfies, her "main" and the one where she posts her music where she's trying to stay anonymous. At the end of the episode when her sisters see a video of Mana performing you can see that the video is posted on her main account instead of her music one. That shows she has overcome the fear of being judged and is truly being herself without hiding who she is

サンライズ関わってたのか！ CG綺麗だし、みんなメイクとかファッションとかかわいいし、曲もかっこいいし、お話も短いけど内容考えさせられるような、勇気出るような内容ですごくいい〜！

小さい頃に好きだった、女の子が夢に向かって精一杯頑張るアニメを思い出した。 その時は「自分らしく生きる」って大人になるにつれて当たり前に出来ることだと思ってたけど、実際は大人になっていくにつれて難しく感じたり遠ざかっていくものだよな〜と思った。改めて考える機会をくれて、どうもありがとう！😭💖

I really love the deep meaning into what you wanna do. I felt like the message for this is finding your true passion and setting a goal to improve what you are willing to do. I always have that odd phase where I couldn’t decide on what to do in my life but this really explains a lot on which path career your willing to try or improve. Really nice episode

Dude I relate so much that I'm now bawling my eyes out. Every time I try to talk about something I really like, no one seems to listen. People instead end up laughing at me, even if it's a little chuckle, I still notice. Now I'm stuck in this little bubble where I no longer actually talk about my passions. I was just talking to my life coach about that this evening. For seven years I lived life and thought there was something wrong with me, and then I changed my situation and realized that it was the kinds of people around me that were the problem, not me. Your location and the kinds of people around you can really change your whole existence. It's like a vibration that echoes into you. In this animation, too, the girl changed her location and then she was happier, not a robot making the same Instagram faceover and over. Today, at the end of my session, this was my life statement: "I am the weaver of my destiny." We choose our path. We chose the people we allow into it. We weave them into our design, the design, the path we create for ourselves. I hope you can find your path soon. Blessings to you, whoever you are. You know there weren't many people around me who are interested in this kind of things either, but I got pretty lucky and found people in the internet who share my interests and live in the same place as me (which is a miracle since I live in a very small town). i struggle with the same thing too. I have judgemental friends and and a judgemental environment. My dad also judged me a lot about the smallest things i did, and made fun of me growing up. Being raised like this i was always afraid to stand out, be myself just because i was afraid of not being liked by others. I just realized this and ive already taken the steps to be more like myself! Im interested in dressing like a doll and like lolita/coquette fashion, and just started to dress up more like that! Sometimes my friends make backhanded comments but i dont care. When im finally out of school im going to dress up more like how i want to and be happy. We only live once and i want to make myself happy first, not to live just to please other peoples expectations. i still have a long way to go but i believe i can do it! ♡´･ᴗ･`♡ i hope future me sees this comment some day and realises how far ive come. thank you!! ))
