I am 72 yrs old. I have been listening to him on our national radio station since when I was around 15. Then I got the full Quran by him in box of 33 LP records in 1976. Afterwards, I had him on cassette tapes on CDs and now on KZread. He has always my absolute favorite. May Allah SWT reward him profusely. Ameen

I don't think it was a mistake. I actually heard wa maiyar tadidd (with qalqala on the second د. Maybe that's why it sounded to you as fatha. Try read with fatha and kasra and make sure you do the qalqala, I am sure that you will get the difference. Great observation. I so much love his recitation.

Murattal is a style of recitation. Usually like you would hear the imam praying for example. As opposed to mujawwad which is a style of recitation which is very slow with long pauses and the qari usually shows his vocal abilities more with higher notes. The second question: this is called fast because sheikh husary recorded three Murattal recordings (in the hafs recitation), this is the first and is slightly quicker than the others, hence the KZreadr has labelled it fast, meaning the faster one. This recording of the whole Quran was aired on Cairo Radio and I believe shaikh husary was the first to ever do this masha Allah. One of the other Murattal recitations is slightly slower in pace and has longer madds (tareeq shaatibiyah, if you don't understand that then don't worry). May Allah bless us all.

Akhi, As far as these recitations are up you'll receive abundant rewards from anyone that listens to it, even when you've passed away the rewards will keep on flowing! So why put yourself in a risky position for just a couple of money?! Wallahi, it's not worth akhi! You've a tremendous opportunity to gain a lot of ajar! Don't waste it for some couple of p's. May Allah overlook our shortcomings and keep us firm upon the straight path.
